NEw Too!

Hello all...I'm a girl...lol..well I was a girl once upon a time..now I am woman! I got my first guitar when I was 28 (an Epiphone DR200 I think) My brother borrowed it and never gave it back... picked around on it but never got serious... But now that I am older and have a lot of time on my hands to devote to playing guitar I have chosen an Yamaha LL6 as my acoustic. I wasn't thrilled with buying a Yamaha at first (was going for something else) until I played it..WOW I love this guitar! (and now my brother is jealous too...lol..it sounds amazing!
I also purchased a Takamine EG544SC...pretty, but it just doesn't resonate like my Yamaha. The neck is a bit narrow as well so I have trouble finger picking..chords sound great on it. (plugged in)
I practice/play usually 3 to 6 hours a day. (sometimes more!) Yes I have one of those personalities that is "all or nothing" so I have learned tons (including how to read standard notation) and hope to one day be as good as some of my family members.
As I am learning I am also teaching my children. They are g/15 B/13 and G/6. They wanted to know how so I am more than happy to teach them what i know
Ok again...
Hello to all and thanks for this site!

Welcome aboard, Dawn! And yes, I'm jealous you have the time to practice 3-6 hours a day.

Not that I'd practice that much even if I did have the time but I'm jealous nonetheless.

Thanks for the warm welcomes! Now that today is the kids last day of school, I doubt I will get in as much time as I have all year! So stop being jealous!! I worked hard over the past 7 years to be able to do nothing but sit on my duff & pick n grin all day..I'm glad I finally can
I don't know that anyone would want to hear a recording just yet, so i am almost glad I am not set up to record yet! lol

si16- "I'm jealous too, I always wanted to be a woman."
You know there are ways of acheiving this....so if you want it bad enough, save your money!
