Thanks to Kirk, Clancy, Everyone
Hey all,
I resist intros on new sites, being a recluse and iconoclast by nature (and a tendency to exaggerate). Started looking at site a couple of months ago, downloaded a bunch of tabs, purchased a half dozen or so, and will purchase PlaneTalk when I feel confident with all the chord shapes as this seems to have the greatest impact on what I like to play---finger style.
Mainly I want to thank those mentioned and indeed everyone on this site. I have seen more info on learning here from more people that appear to know their stuff than any other site. I've certainly learned more in two months than the last 40 years (ARE YOU READING THIS NEWCOMER MICHAEL BEEM from Kirk's lessons under Los Blues?) on my new Zager ZAD-80 that I enjoy immensely. And the best part is: I've never witnessed a more eclectic site AND ALL ATTITUDES ARE POSITIVE. I've yet to see a negative remark. I am humbled, enough so I amended my profile to add USA to SoCal after realizing this originates "Down Under" and I see members here from all over the world. I'd thank each by name, but as you can see I have a tendency to ramble when no one has the ability to stop me.
For anyone contemplating joining and possible purchasing from this site, I can't see how you can go wrong. There is a multitude of information that is free, it is all useful and everyone is supportive.
Once again, THANKS TO ALL. BobH

Hi, Bob H, welcome and thanks for the nice intro. You're right, this site seems to attract positive people (and perhaps repel negative folks!) and that's just the way we like it. I'm glad you're enjoying it here!

Welcome. Nice post. The 'you suck' types (who can't play a lick) don't hang out here.

Hello Bob,
I must have missed this intro. Welcome to the forum. Your gonna love the lessons and as far as Plane Talk goes, it will be money well spent.
You feel the same as we all do about being here. So welcome again
and join the rest of us in making music.
As for Kirk and Clancy, their commitment to this site being here is beyond words I can express. And a big thank you to all the moderators that help keep it this way as well. I am sure they have their share of work to do. These folks are great guitar players as well and I bet they wish they had the more time to express it for us here.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and to all here.
