Hi Everybody

I was surfing the internet to look for the equipment set up to achieve The Shadows sound when I came across this wounderful site. I had been a Shadows fan since the early sixties but not really got off to playing the guitar. Now that I have retired, I decided to renew my interest after learning that there are sites available to download not only the backing tracks of my favourite band but also the tabs and chords for these tracks. So I quickly purchased a packaged Fender Squire Strat and a practice Fender Amp to start the ball rolling a month ago. Now I am researching what effects pedal I need to bring out the Shadows sound. Apparently Zoom 508 seems to be the one but the few used units available on eBay are overpriced.
Can anyone assist?

Hi kayelchee and welcome. I'm not really a Shadows fan I'm afraid.

Sorry can't help much either.
Are there many guitar shops where you are that could order one in for you?

Welcome aboard!

Thanks everybody for welcoming me. I have not checked the archives in the relevant forums. So I hope I may come across relevant info there.

Hi there

I probably never listen to how other songwriters write their songs, I just write on using my own imagination. windsong
