Did you use the lock nut to freeze the floyd while you tuned it?

Take it to a reputable repair tech.

Changing the string gauge changes tension on the bridge, and if your Floyd is a full floating tremelo the springs will require adjustment, and possibly your truss rod as well.

While you could follow advice you find on the internet, you woul dbe better off reading about it, and having it done on your main guitar by a professional.

Buy yourself a cheap guitar to learn how to adjust on.

Remember, wherever you go... there you are.

I've had the same problems with mine when I didn't know what i was doing. Did you check out Floyd Rose yet?

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
