Been on this site a number of times over the years and thought I would finally make an introduction.
Basically, I am an "old dog" trying to learn new tricks. The "46" in my username refers to 1946 when I was born, so I will turn 62 years old this year. Tried my hand at guitar in the '60's, but did not keep up with it. Have wanted to play bass guitar at times but never picked it up until a few years ago. Played clarinet in grade school and first year of high school, but quit until a few years ago. Took some drum lessons between 41 years of age and 45 years of age, but let that
slide. A few years ago I decided to pick things back up and make an attempt to keep up. So, I am not only an "old dog" learning new tricks but am almost a "one man" band, practicing guitars, bass guitar, clarinet, piano (keyboards), and want to pick up harmonica and other things.
Music interests run from The Beatles to Bach, from Bob Dylan to Beethoven, with emphasis on Big Band Swing of 1930's- '40's, '50's rock n roll, blues, dixieland jazz. I prefer fingerpicked (blues, etc.) guitar to strumming.
With the attempt at so many instruments, obviously I am not a master of any of them, but having fun.
