Hello from Kentucky

I grew up around music, my dad is a singer/songwriter and my stepdad was in a band for a number of years. I wish I had been able to learn the guitar from them, but that just didn't happen, so years later I am going to finally learn. I just moved to Kentucky and hate it, I'm currently getting the money together to move back to Houston, TX were I belong.
I just bought an acoustic guitar and started to mess around with some blues, but I think i'm a ways from mastering that. Hope to meet new freinds and learn something.

My in laws live off New Circle on Winchester. It's a lot different here than in Houston, the music scene seems different too. Most people I talked to say everyone is into rap or classic rock. I grew up with a singer/songwriter so I am really into classic rock and electric blues. I'm really into Pink Floyd, Jimmy Hendrix, SRV, etc. Are there any groups here that get together and jam, we had a few in Houston and a lot of the guy's learned better and faster playing with seasoned guitarists.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
