Howdy, I'm Don

Hi, I thought I'd write a quick little blurb introducing myself to the forum. I'm Don and I hail from Pensacola, FL. I've been playing guitar for over 35 years. You'd think I'd be pretty good by now. Not necessarily so. I'm still pretty much at the intermediate level.

Anyway, I'm playing the guitar more these days. For the past few years I've been concentrating on clawhammer style banjo. My dad and I attend several church "singings" in the area. Ya'll may find this hard to believe, but the banjo isn't suited to some songs so I'm working on my guitar chops.

I'll probably invest in Kirk's training materials someday, but until then I'm gonna learn all I can from the forum and lessons. Hopefully, I'll have something worthwhile to contribute as well.

-Don
