Hey Pepino
Atlast i find a guy who has similar situations ,lol

. I'm from India and had a same situation (remember , i say "had") because now i'm a proud member of this family, which has given me more than i could even dream of. All my friends here are responsible for any improvement that i'm making. You'll love this place, and get whatever you need. Anyways welcome mate. (I think our forum covers whole of the earth's surface, lol) and we are proud, are'nt we ???
Regds teaching your students, i have a few point that'll help (i hope)
1. As Kirk always says, its not necessary to sight read to learn music, its a matter of feelings that is really essential.
2. I would personally suggest you to give your students a few chromatic exercises to make them develop some finger-strength, calluses and atleast some basic control over the axe.
3. Then you can plan your further course of action.
4. Be very careful in getting them or lending them Guitars, because a good-instrument will give them all the confidence and whereas a mediocre int with bad-action etc , which would be difficult to play will just shatter them.
Hope it helped buddy.
