Im pretty new
hey guys,
I just got into Guitar, I have always followed music very close and i feel as it is time to start learning a instrument. I play a Abilene LF-015 Acoustic Guitar.
Im going to be perfectly honest and say that i really dont know all that much about guitar. Everyone has to start somewhere . I dont really mind not knowing much about the guitar, i still enjoy holding and strumming random strings and in my head that is all that matters. Im taking Guitar lessons 2nd Semester at my college and also have a couple people that will help me learn the guitar. As they live busy lifes with there music career and education i thought i would turn to online for help from anyone that would give it.
When i say "help" i mean littlerly someone teaching me the understanding of the fretboard to learning chords and strumming. Im looking for advice from anyone who is willing to share, Any tips or anything is well appreciated
Thanks for your time if you actaully read all of this

Hello muSIK, welcome. The lessons here are a great place to start, then after you are comfortable with the basics you might want to take a look a Kirk's Plane Talk.

Hi MuSIK, Welcome to the forum, I like this lesson/learning tool from Fretsource, it's a fretboard trainer and tells you what the note is, it's fun trying to keep up with the trainer and is a very good tool for building speed.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
