Awakening from lurking

Good evening all... been a member for some time, however wasn't confident enough to believe I had anything meaningful to add to the discussions.
Brilliant stuff by the way. This may be one of, if not the best, guitar forum on the net that I have seen. All informative, genuinely civil in manner of discussion, and always entertaining.
As for me, I'm one of those "closing 50" chaps who took up playing the guitar seriously again about 12 months ago. Was a campfire strummer with my old '73 Yamaki dred back in the day, but put it away when work, marriage, kids came along. Now that nest is empty again, got a hankering to play, and so far so good.
Play mostly acoustic fingerstyle (not great, but improving), but have recently purchased a nice little MIM Strat. to explore some new soundscapes...
Look forward to talking with everyone, and to keep on growing as a player.
Cheers...

Welcome to the site! I don't have much to offer either, as I'm still pretty much a newbie with lots of room for improvement. Still I enjoy the forum and have met lots of great and helpful folks here!

Welcome Canuck.

Now when I talk to God he said he'd understand, Stick by me I'll be your guiding hand. But don't ask me what I think of you. I might not give the answer you want me to.
