A Big Hello From Northern Ireland!!
Hi all. My name is Vay, pronounced Vai, and I'm from Belfast. Just searching the net for guitar lessons the other day and stumbled upon this great site. Nice friendly people and a great sense of community. Everyone has some form of advise or another to give. I have been playing guitar for about 5 months now after an old friend got me back into it again. Played before in my teens, I'm 33 now, but never kept at it; I wished that I had. Anyway this time I'm gonna stick with it. Have to. My wife just bought me a new guitar and she'll have my head if I quit!! Man can't believe I spent an hour on this short intro. Ok hi again to everyone and hopefully see you in the forum for some advise and chit chat. Cheers

Hi Vay!
Great to have you here. Intros are the hardest part, it'll be smooth sailing from here on in.
Welcome.

Howdy Vay!
My family is from County Ciarraí (Kerry here in the US). My nicest guitar came from Belfast. Made by a gentleman named George Lowden. Stop by his shop sometime and I'm certain you'll be impressed!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
Buy it now for only $10 |
