Welcome. You need to start here and get your basics down. Discussing intervals won't make a lot of sense without context.
Brand new to playing the guitar?...read this first.

Hi and THX for all those welcome messages. Here i go again: Ok i read that "Whats music?" thing and about chords also but i cant just understand that: "Notice that there must be differences in the intervals of each of these combinations because of the uneven scale. These variations are the reason that in every key 3 chords are major, 3 are minor and one is diminished. The main thing to remember is that chords come from the scale and that all keys are identical in layout." I dont get that Major and Minor thing Sorry for disturbing

A guitar teacher once joked that "when you first start out learning music it all seems quite MAJOR, but after a while when you pick up things and get to know a thing or two, it all becomes rather MINOR."

I know, I know.............a comedian he wasn't!

Read some of the posts in this thread. It should help. The notes above the tabs in the lessons will also help you come to grips with some of this stuff.
Why's maj the maj?

You have the idea of thirds more or less. Minor second usually refers to the second chord in a key which is always minor. Minor chords are defined by the b3 or flat 3 interval which is a semi tone down from 3 or one fret down. Only chords can be minor, not individual notes.
You need to think in intervals rather than notes if you are going to count. Depending on where a note falls on the tone, tone, tone, semi tone formula, it can be flat, sharp or natural depending on the key.
EDIT That minor second bugged me so I googled for it and found to my surprise that flats, sharps or semi tones can indeed be refered to as minor.I have not run into that used much in the real world. I stand corrected. Thinking of semi tones as a minor tone makes me dizzy. Think I will stick with semi tones. So that means a minor second is one semitone down or one fret down from a 2.
