another newbie

Hey all,

I'm another new member, my name is Curt.

I've been getting a bit more serious about my acoustic playing in just the last couple years, but I'd been slacking lately. I have a new enthusiasm in last few days since I found Kirk's lessons- I've almost got my callouses back!!
I've been trying to learn fingerpicking with just a bit of success, so I'm quite pleased to find the lessons for my favorite style here, and the movies are a great reference.
I've also been wanting to check out slide playing and alternate tunings, so I can see I'll be busy here for quite a while.
During breaks I have been catching up on forum posts and browsing lessons - I've learned so much in just a few days and am really excited about what's to come.

Here ---> is a thumbs up for Kirk, Clancy and the rest of the moderators for their great work on a fantastic site.

Nice to meet you all!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
