Hello from Bris Vegas
Hello all
I'm a learner on the guitar and trying to teach myself the basics. I've been popping into the site for a while now and doing a fair bit of looking. The site is a God send for this nearly 50 year old, as my lack of musical talent would drive the most patient guitar teacher insane.
Today I finally got around to restringing the guitar as it has sat in the corner gathering dust while I had my head stuck in the books for university. Hopefully I will be able to put some time aside each week to start plucking and getting the fingers working in a reasonable fashion.
Most importantly, I would like to say a big thanks to Kirk for what I consider a great guitar site. When I get down Mt Tamborine way in the future, I will drop in to say thanks personally.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
