Hellooooo!

Hi everyone....46 yr.old beginner here. I make my living as a visual artist but always wished I had equal talent in music!

I've actualy been playing around for about a year but I'm thinking of getting a little more serious (just a little)

I had a "seagull" but gave it to my daughter who wanted to take lessons.

I now have a Sigma DR-41 which I like alot.

I can play open chords...once in awhile I can pull off an "F" LOL

I have the most fun just picking out melodies to songs....I've always been able to do that since I was a kid (it was much more impressive then)

Looks like a fun site! I'm going to to go browse around now.

Welcome, you would be from my era, heh heh, and indeed, "F" is the first of the tough chords to learn, but, in time, somehow, your hand remembers and you just grab it as fast as any othe chord.

Hi owlhause, welcome to GfB&B!

If you've always been able to pick out melodies, then you've got a good ear and you should definitely nurture your gift.

If you feel like posting some pics of your art, I for one would very interested.
