Hello everyone...

hey, I don't know anyone here, but to me, music has always been a great icebreaker and common ground for new relationships.

I am a beginner player...at 38 years old! I stumbled on an old guitar at a friends place, a cheap classic guitar with nylon strings. My wife is on bed rest and I have a lot of down time, which is totally new to me, and this website is amazing, so here I am.

Any clue where the best place for me to start with classic guitar lessons here? I saw some impressive pieces on the site, but its over my head. I need some easier lessons so I can someday hope to attempt cool pieces like CAPO LANE and AMAZING GRACE.

I also want to say that it is so impressive that so many people are helping each other on this forum with their shared passion. I have been a teacher/coach for 17 years and I love sharing my insights on athletics with those getting started, and I know how important advice and training is to people starting at the bottom...any advice is so appreciated.

Mike

Welcome Mike. Finger style for classical is more or less the same as steel string so most of the lessons here will work for you. Capo Lane is a good beginners tune to teach your fingers independent movement. Just start slowly and speed up as you get better.
