Hello All...
I joined the site a little over a week ago, I think, I guess is time I introduced myself. I got my first guitar about 2 yrs. ago, a classical acoustic , thought I might give a go at learning. But, with the way my work schedule was at the time, I never had any free time to practice. A few weeks later, a guy I worked with was looking for an acoustic ; he told me he wanted to trade an electric for it, the only catch was he had put it in a pawn shop. We worked out a lil' deal ( his terms) if I paid off the pawn...$63.00, he would trade guitars with me, then on next payday he would pay back the pawn ticket to me. So, I got an almost new Fender Strat for what I paid for the classical...I think $89.00. Now, after being able to move back home to South Carolina from California, I have a bit more free time on my hands to get it out of the closet and learn.
I also wanted to say, after reading a lot of the posts here, and looking at the lessons, I think I found a great site to learn from you all here. Well, I guess enough rambling, back to practising.
Thanks,
Todd

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
