Great Board

Hello all,

My wife bought my daughter (10 yoa) and myself a guitar. I seem to be a bit more excited about than the kid.

Anyway, I've been looking around the net to find a place to learn and this seems to be the most helpful and friendliest board I've found.

I've been working my way through some of lessons and building up the fingers.

I look forward to being around for awhile and having fun learning the guitar.

Later,

Corey

I'd recommend you stay here, and revisit often. Check out Kirks lessons here:

http://www.guitarforbeginners.com/fo...uitar-lessons/

and member lessons here:

http://www.guitarforbeginners.com/fo...sons-articles/

Since you are just starting, you might want to take a look at these lessons first:

http://www.guitarforbeginners.com/fo...nners-lessons/

Besides that, theres plenty of songs written by some of our members which you can check out by click on "radio Gfb and b" at the top of this page.

Plus, theres a great audio/video chat room here:

Welcome. There are a few others here beginning to learn with their children. Nice to share the experience.

To all,

Thanks all for the well wishes. I appreciate the encouragement.

I'll keep you advised on how the daughter does also.

Have a great day,

Corey

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
