Hi Everyone,

My name is Kevin and I have been trying to play the guitar for just over a year now. I was lucky enough to borrow an 'Ibanez' acoustic off a good friend and I must say that I am well impressed with it.

My particular interest is fingerpicking but I have to say that I cannot really play a complete piece of music with any confidence as yet. This is the reason I have joined 'Guitar for Beginners', which I am sure will help me to progress.

I am also signed up with 'Mike Herberts' who puts instructional videos on line, which also are very helpful.

I am on a mission to play at least one complete piece of music by the end of this year at which point I will be treating myself to a new acoustic guitar.

I haven't spent a lot of time looking through this site as yet but I am sure it has a lot to offer.

Well THIS is the place!!! Kirk has some great lessons. And some of the other folks post lessons that are very good, too. If you cannot play a complete song by the end of the year after practicing Kirk's stuff....well.......either you aren't trying or , perhaps, well, maybe the bongos are a nice instrument!

Anyhow, I'm sure you'll find a BUNCH of songs you'll be able to play completely AND WELL!! by the end of the year.

The folks here are great, lots of experience as well as beginners. All very encouraging and willing to answer questions.

So, jump over the the lessons area and then start thinking about which new guitar you want to buy! You're gonna love it here!!
