Hi,
My name is Brian, just outside Toronto,42 years old, gave up cigarettes and took up the guitar (tough to get it lighting though!).

Looking forward to trying some of the lessons.
Just wanted to say Hi,
Brian.

Hi Elle,
Thanks for the welcome, I think the guitar needs a noise filter!.
There must be something wrong with it cause it couldn,t be me!
I,ve been twanging for a year or so , on and off but the last six weeks I have been giving it a little more attention, gives me something to do with my hands.
How long have you been playing? Do you like the forum?
Brian

Aye, I do, and I have been spending a fair portion of time here, since I'm only LOOKING for work (wish I didn't have to actually find some! LOL)

I've been playing since last October, but I've been singing with bands since I was 18, which is a long, long, long time ago...Hush, all you 'ageists' on this forum! LOL

Welcome Brian,
Hanging up the smokes is really a tough thing to do for most, I finally did it 16 months ago, just talking about it after all of this time still gives me a craving, I smoked for more years than I want to say, probably lucky to still be alive.

Hi Doty,
I,m not sure I would inflict my jamming on anyone just yet.
The mind is willing but the digits are totally uncoordinated.
I must admit beating the strings and howling with only a vague hope of finding a tune is still some of the best legal fun I,ve ever had !
Brian.

Thanks Skip,
I,ts a tough haul but it has to be done.
I figure I,ll be playing like Clapton by the time the craving subsides.

Don,t look to hard, work is over rated!
Now you have added guitar to the singing talent I,m sure it,s only a matter of time.
Give me about 10 years and I,ll figure out the whole minor/major chord thing, I ,ll toss everything in an we,ll hit the subway together.BIG MONEY!
