Hi :)

Just wanted to say hi to everyone!

I've been playing the guitar for about 10 years. I learned to play the chords and sing along... and that's where it stopped. I couldn't go on any further on my own. And now I'm going to re-discover my guitar with this finger picking thing.... My first impression is that I'm going to break my fingers... but if so many people can do that, why can't I be one of them?

All the best!
Kasia

Hi Kasia,
You're lucky to have found this site so early in your venture back into guitar playing. There are probably other ones from Poland on here but you're the first one that I've seen, it's amazing to me how we're from all over the world.
Good Luck and enjoy.

Welcome Kasia,
If you can drive a car, you can finger pick - be patient with yourself, and have fun!

Yes, that's what's great about this site. No matter how different we are, we all have common ground and love guitar. You know we're not really so different after all!!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
