Lot of great resources here and elsewhere on the web. Tell us where you are at, and what you know and the great people here can guide you along. You have 3 guitars and a number of instructional DVD's, what can you play so far??

The hard work you'll have to put in yourself, but GFB&B sure helps.

Great people, and great stuff to learn.

Welcome.

Welcome tcagle,

You can buy all the books and DVD's in the world. Spend a million bucks on them. But put all that aside. Open your heart and let the music roll down the pike. That's when you become a player. Guitar playing isn't attach part A to part B. It's attach your heart to the fretboard. The aroma of the wood and finish and your fingers noting the strings. Thats what it's all about. You create your tones.

Nothin, What steps would you suggest as a good starter, I guess what I am asking is what is the very first thing I should practice on? I know it will take time but where do I start? Just the thought of being able to play something that sounds like music drives me crazy with anticipation.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
