Hey from THE Wine Capital of the US...

Found this sight in a round about way from my guitar mentor.

I started playing guitar about 30 years ago when I was in 7th grade, performed solo on stage, then promptly stopped playing guitar until last year. It was something I was wanted to do "again", but always found an excuse to be too busy.

Finally one day I grabbed a guitar playing friend of mine to help me buy a new guitar. We went down to Zone Music in Cotati, CA and I promptly fell in love with a Taylor 110 after listening to my friend play about 20 guitars (thanks Chris!).

Anyway I now have 3 guitars, the Taylor, a Taylor Baby for the beach, and a Cordoba classical guitar.

I locked myself in my office at nights for a year and taught myself classical guitar and have about a dozen etudes under my belt.

Then back to my Taylor, I would play it occasionally dabbling with different styles. I've finally gravitated towards fingerstyle and found a great mentor that has a couple of CD's to his name and performs around Sonoma County.

In a couple of short lessons I can now play 3 Simon and Garfunkel tunes, and we are on to bigger and better things. Our latest foray is into a really cool piece of music from Jorma Kaukonen called "Embyronic Journey".

Peace and play on!

-Scott

Welcme along Scott!

Embryonic Journey has been one of my favourite guitar instrumentals. Good luck with it!

Welcome to GFB&B Scott, a friend of mine just did a wine tour out that way. You picked a great place to live. Happy comeback.
