Hello from Blighty

Hi everyone,

My name is Chris Thurland, I registered on this site quite a while ago but have never posted. So here I am.

Been learning guitar for just over three years. I'm 53 years old. I live in Cheltenham Gloucestershire for my sins.

I play acoustic, I'm a lefty player(well someones got to do it). my guitar is an Ephiphone Gibson and sometimes I plug her into a Carlsbro Sherwood 30 acoustic amp via my soundhole pickup.

Influences are pretty much most of the guitar hero's from the 50's to the 70's. in particular, Chuck Berry, The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Neil Young, The Faces etc etc. But I love most music Folk, Rock, Country, Blues, Big Band (Glen Miller).

Hope to see you all around sometime on the forums.

Chris

Thanks everyone,

What a welcome!

I recognize a few names from another guitar site that I visit. I'm known as "dogsbody" there.

Think I'll like it here as me.
