redkirk's intro message

'Mornin', folks!

I'm 46, father of four and hubby to a terrific wife. We just finished celebrating our 22nd anniversary on Valentine's Day. Two daughters are married off and now I'm working on the sons. My wife and I are both Disabled Veterans of the Coastie variety. We both met in the Coast Guard but didn't get together for a number of years afterward.

I've been dinking around with this guitar stuph for a few years now. Thought it might be time to learn more than a few chords and such. I'm interested in seeing what we all can share in this forum. Not only that, but my youngest daughter just got her first guitar (she's usually playing flute) and I'd like to figure out the best way to teach her while keeping her interested.

It's cold and wet up here in Washington state. Think some of you southern folks could send some warmer, dryer weather up here?

Y'all take care,

~ redkirk

Welcome. Be careful what you wish for. Some of my Southern friends are laid low with the spring allergy blues that came with the warm weather.

« G'day folks | Hey »

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
