Hello

Hi all!

My wife found this site and I guess I'm kinda drawn to it. I quit playing guitar about 40 years ago and am just taking it back up. I have a wonderful Martin Dreadnaught and my wife has both a Yamaha and a Dear. We also own, and my wife is learning to play (and it's my goal to learn too), a mandolin, banjo, violin (I kinda play it too already), piano, keyboard, hammered dulcimer, bagpipes, harmonica (my instrument), autoharp, and various rythm instruments.

I've alwaqys been big on being the "sound engineer" rather than the musician, but as we get older I want to learn to play more. I think that this site will help me a lot. So as some first timers say, "Please be gentle....."

That is just about as American as it gets. I am most certainly glad to greet and welcome you to GFB & B.

Engineering is very cool as the talent it takes to engineer and produce music is well beyond playing music. It's understanding music to such a degree that you know how it inter-relates to dang near everything else in the universe. And a mandolin too! Well. Whatcha think about that?
