Welcome....
Don't worry... I'm trying to untie the knots that used to be my fingers after trying chords

I've been playing about 7 months, started out knowing nothing!!!!!!! Now I,m good with chords and strumming and can play along well in jam sessions ,but if you get above the 5th fret my barre chords sound horrible. I found playing in jams to be of great benefit and of course practice, practice, practice. Most of the guys on here sound like pros, so it,s good to hear from other newbies.I'd love to finger pick ,but so far it seems a little above me, though I'm looking at Kirk's lessons and trying. I'm really interested in the GuitarPro5. Sounds like it would be a rea lly helpful tool to have. Best of luck, if you keep on you can only get better!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
