Kirk Hammet - 8
Zakk Wylde - 13
Chuck Berry - 11
Keith Richards - 12
Brian May - 19
Jerry Garcia - 8 HEAL
Joe Perry - 12 HURT

Whats wrong with Jerry Garcia? I dont listen to much of his music but I do like his guitar playing alone, and Aerosmith is just probally one of the worst bands to hit radio land and seeing that I found joe perry is there guitar player...

Try to practise at the same time every day, and remember, one productive hour is woth 20 hours of fumbling around on your guitar. Also another tip is before I go to school, I play guitar for 5 or so minites so that way I will be longing to get back to play guitar when I get home, something like that could work for you. Just try your best to disipline your self, and learn some simple songs, in the beginning I know its tough, I been there. Also another tip is spend some time on the computer,(or buy a instrucnalol book) and find some tabs or chords and make a schuldle, like,"today I'll learn this song/riff/solo/scale, next week I'll learn this" or wataever you think will work for you. I dont know, just throwing some random ideas out there, hope some of them will help, but be patient with your self, sooner or later you'll get to where you wanna be. Just try to disipline your self. But one thing you got to remember, keep playing! guitar has a lot of ups and downs, or thats what I think, but you'll get through it.:winkthumb:

In Topic: How can you tell when it's time for new strings?

I try to change them at least once every mounth, and how can you tell is that if you start to get a little slopy on your playing, its useally not you, its the stings. I have light gage, but it depends on what type of stuff you play, a bottle neck player would have havey stings, a finger picker light, and if your a guy whos sort of in the middle of strummen, picking and slide and only has one guitar, a medain.

Glen Campbell - 8
Johnny Cash - 10 HEAL
Kirk Hamlett - 8
Zakk Wylde - 11
Chuch Berry - 10
Bruce Springsteen - 4 HURT
Keith Richards - 10
Brian May - 15
Jerry Garcia - 12
Joe Perry - 12

I just dont think Bruce is a amzaning guitar player. And even though people may say johnny cash is "to simple" or stuff like that, I mean who cares if its simple, as long as it sounds good, I'm fine with it... Came up with some pretty catchy stuff.
