In Topic: Tuning down half step

I've always tuned down a half to make it easier for me to sing. I've actually noticed a lot of the people I listen to do this such as Monte Montgomery and Ben Harper. Also I find it's a lot easier to bend string on my acoustic. When I tune I just tune to the flat note. If i don't have a tuner I will start tuning the A sting to the 4th fret of the low E string and then go from there

Martin is a bad man. I never can decide if he is a singer playing guitar or a guitar player that can sing. Haven't had a chance to see him yet and I could kick myself. Good friend of mine has seen him twice and says it's just one of those things you've got to see. Anyways, Thanks Matt for the share. I've got a bootleg that my brother made for me and I don't know where he got it but there is a really good version of "Purple Rain" and "A Day in the Life" on it. I really liked it when some of these guys get some attention on here.
