Thanks for the advice on looking at the string buzz thread. That's exactly what it was. I read the instruction on the forum carefully and adjusted the truss rod step by step and it plays beautifully again.

Thanks!

P.S. I would've taken it to the shop where I bought it but it's not in a very convenient part of the city.. I would've had to take a bus and transfer twice to get there, I thought I'd try myself since there is a good isntruction on how to do it, and I killed two birds with one stone: I fixed the problem and I learnt how to make truss rod adjustment :)

Hey, thanks for all the comments all!

Now I have to look for a descent amp to get the most out of this thing. I have a Kustom practice amp right now and I don't think it can handle the awesome sound of this new baby, lol

Any recommendations on the amp? I'm looking around $200-$300CA range for a hard rock/punk sound

Thank you all for your input.

I think all of the comments posted here tells me that Floyd is only for people who know what it is for and how to use it, so it wouldn't apply to me.

Thanks for the replies.

Here is another question, or more or less looking for suggestions.

Right now, I have a single coil Squier Strat. I want to get a new guitar that has more hard rock/trash sound (hence humbackers). I went to the local guitar stores and the guys there suggested ESP MH-50 and Epiphone Gothic. Can you guys think of any other good alternative? My budget is up to about $400.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply,

I think it's a nice compliment to the Squier that I have, i can keep squier for all-rounder and MH-50 for playing thrash stuff. I'm not planning on becoming professional or anything, so this is pretty much all I need as far as sound quality goes.

Just one question: What exactly does it mean by XJ frets? does it mean it's wider than usual? (it says it makes bending easier). Squier has medium jumbo frets.
