You can always check youtube for lessons, for example I typed in "audioslave like a stone lesson" as my search and there are lessons for the solo as well as acoustic lessons for this song. That way you are toying with something that interests you. Have a wander around youtube. Enjoy.

Whenever I curse the ability I have for making the guitar sound like an instrument of torture rather than music, I remember someone once telling me about some bloke who reached an elevated level of proficiency despite the fact that he lacked the regulation number of fingers on his mitts. Sometimes I shake my head and think that he's an inspiration - other times I shake my head and think "so exactly how pathetic does that make me?". Either way it leads me to realise there are a myriad of examples of people who have smaller hands, less fingers, (are blind, deaf, or whatever other hurdles) and have managed to make a guitar sound the way it's supposed to (unlike myself). So it still gets back to perserverence and the "practise, practise, practise" comment you posted earlier. There is always someone worse off than you who has succeeded. Reminds me of something Indira Gandhi once said, it went something like "I thought I had it bad because I had no shoes - until I saw a man who had no feet". Plough on Chickenlips, you'll be just fine.

Thanks Mike. I think I've got the teacher part sorted out, from our discussions he seems to understand want I'm after (see previous posts), but I won't know until I commence lessons with him. If he doesn't suit me, believe me I will look else where so fast it'll make his head spin. I already have the first substitute named and ready to take his place in the team just in case.
