Sorry, but it cannot be done.
The only types of files you can import to Guitar Pro 5 are MIDI, ASCII, MusicXML, PowerTab and TablEdit.

After you've done a few, you'd get quite fast at it.
You might even learn something about the piece while you were doing it wouldn't you? I haven't done it yet, but plan to do a few pieces where the tabs are available, but no gp file.
If you made it from the notation and not the tab, you'd definitely learn something - if only how much persistence you have.

Try this link. I have it on my desk top. Here are some example pics. Today I will try the whole score.
1. Take music score and open with PDF to midi
2. Take midi file and open with Guitar pro
Thats about it.
Not free because you have to have (PDF to midi program) and (Guitar pro) to get the results but for some one who needs to
do this, it does save loads of time.
Like turning old music into tab files

If it creates a MIDI, it should work for TUX or any notation program that imports MIDI.
