Hi again everyone. I am taking a metal oriented course called Monster Power Chords by DJ Nelson and of course there are various playing exercises included. However, they are usually bare bones, sometimes consisting of onely two or three chords and only one kind of verse. So I make up a new chord progression to put in the song to complete it and make it a full song with verse and chorus, and I also put my own improv solo work over the song. It just makes the whole process more useful for my learning in my thinking.

Anyways, here is the latest installment...I have entitled it Awakening Rain...I hope you give a listen.

Attached File  Monster Power Chords Exercise 25 - Awakening Rain.mp3   1.99MB   8 downloads

I'm using Metal Method by Doug Marks with his Classic Metal Licks to give great lick ideas. I have just begun the Monster Power Chord course about 3 weeks ago and It has already improved my playing all around. Eventually I'll get some stuff by Micheal Angelo Batio from Metal Method called Speed Kills. But I'm very busy right now with the stuff that i'm studying. I hope you send in some mp3 files that we can all listen to.

Later man
