Hi all,
I've been learning since January this year. I "inherited" a choir at my church and needed a way to accompany them; what better way then by playing the guitar:)
I am taking lessons with a great teacher and I've pretty much figured out strumming but am having a hard time figuring out tabs. I read music but can't seem to make the connection between the notes and their corresponding tabs. Any ideas??

hi timelesstrina welcome to the forum.
Using tab you dont even have to think about what notes your playing just where your fingers are placed on the guitar.
I am in a similar situation to you in the fact i can read music but tab is something i am just learning.Tab is much easyer to read i suppose but at the moment i take more thinking time using tab than i would using sheet music.
Personaly i much prefer reading music.
