First off, I dont speak German! My vocabulary is limited to what I picked up from WWII movies & "Jackboots on Whitehall" ;) Not much of an excuse as the vocals suck as always.

But this is a great tune so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm not particularly happy with the mix. It sounds better before rendering/mix-down and I just cant get it right.

In any case, hope you like it :)

BTW, I think it needs more 'cowbells'.

Nice work. BTW a 'cowbell' can be emulated with a skillet....

Goose,
I think you did a great job on this, good vibe and as to the vocals, I think you did a good coverup by sinking them into the mix enough to recognize the the language yet not expose the details. I liked it.

Goose,

For not knowing German this sounded pretty good.

Good job!

Didn't listen to the vocals, cool guitar though, nice keys & bass too!

I like it!

I'm pretty sure you can download a cowbell sound sample somewhere.

Thanks everyone for giving this a listen.
It’s quite a challenge to pronounce the words coherently and with its nuances correct, even with lyrics ready!

Eddie’s right. I’ve intentionally buried the vocals more into the mix, L/R time-delayed it & smother it with reverb. Hissing is evident whenever the MIC is turned on though. EQ couldn’t help on this one.

Oh yeah, I was kidding with the ‘cowbells’ thingie. Whenever I think of Germany, the Friesland cattle (yup, they’re Dutch) comes to mind first. Hence the cowbells. Go figure ;)

Glad you like it :)
Hmmm... maybe something in Turk next?
