Soul singer Doris Troy had the original but Linda Ronstadt and the Hollies had hit versions too.

Trees are blooming, pollen had me sorta clogged up, as you can hear, but I sang thru the dust!.

Mike, yes I did record 'Only Make Believe', but it was not up to my vocal standards (I sang flat a lot of places) so I didn't post it to YT. I think it may be beyond my vocal prowess - just not enough lung power anymore to pull it off. Thanks for asking.
