I was wondering if anyone has any good exercises (free) for learning the 1st, thirds, fifths, etc of a scale.

Why don't you play through a scale and take note where the 1.3.5s are, then find them all over the fretboard and learn them. Then try a different scale.

Or, play a chord and it will be made up of 1s, 3s, and 5s repeated across the strings. For example a G chord is made up of G, B, D, G, B and G counting from the thickest to the thinnest string. The various other G chords up the neck will be made up of the same notes in different positions.

What Carol said. Learn the caged system of chords and you will know the 1,3,5s all the way up the neck

Yo Yo Yo, all up in the house. This page on this website here shows major 7th arpeggio shapes. Learn the shapes and you learn the positions of the 1 3 5 and 7.

this Caged theory is a great read i just learned chords and barres never knew there was so much behind them.
This will require a lot of reading but im finding this verry intressting,

i gues its better to start off with learning all the penta major and minor scales if i trully want to understand this?
