Hi everyone,
I've just started playing at the age of 46 and I'm wishing I'd started years ago. I've treated myself to a Gibson Les Paul and a Vox Night Train amp, though I'm obviously unable to do this kit justice at the minute. Still at least hopefully I won't have to buy any more!

Guys, I'm checking in as a newbie again. I've been playing for a year and yeah I can strum along to some of my favourite tracks and make the guitar scream a bit. Now I've discovered acoustic and the likes of Doyle Dykes and Tommy Emmanuel and I want some of that. Just feels like starting all over again though!

Welcome to the forum Tribe1. Everybody moves at their own pace, some faster some slower. Most important, keep at it because it is a rewarding experience.

Welcome to the group Tribe 1. There is a great group of folks here who are more than happy to help in any way they can.
However; a word of warning for you.
I tried to emulate Tommy Emmanuel once. I was in a full body cast for 4 months after that and I still don't have any feeling
in my picking hand. It also took the doctors two hours to untangle the fingers of my fret hand.
Just thought you should be aware of that.

Gasbag, thanks for the warning. Looking in my spare room I'm wishing someone had also warned me about GAS a year ago as well!
