Very inexpensive setup. I'd prefer a laptop of my bulky desktop. Here's my setup
Windows XP Desktop
Music Creator 5 by Cakewalk (Very good software IMO) only 34.99

TASCAM US-144 MKII Good audio USB interface $149.99

SHURE SM57 Microphone $49.99 Bought it used

In all less that $250 which is perfect for me and does all i need to do at a pro level.
I really need to get a midi controller. Something small and cheap.

The time I burned my guitar it was like a sacrifice. You sacrifice the things you love. I love my guitar.
