On another thread in a galaxy far away, Carol supplied some amazing lyrics to a sort of moody tune that I came up with.

I discarded the tune.

Decided that it fit another one better.

Here are Carol's lyrics...

Did you record the vocal on a different track? ......the guitar track on it's own would make a great backing track.......

Is that an underhanded way of saying you didn't like the vocals? ;-)
I'm afraid I recorded the vocals at the same time as the playing, so it's a package deal so to speak.

I could do a backing track except that I find that finger style does not really work well as a backing track - there's not much room for anything else. However, I wouldn't at all mind doing the backing track sans vocals for someone else with a better voice to sing it.

Absolutely not Doug!! I was thinking I could possibly do a different melody line over those chords. Your vocal was spot on for the mood and you can sing much better than me. It was in no way any criticism of your vocal.

And 'underhand'? I thought you knew me better than that - it reminds me of the Noel Coward quote: 'A real friend only stabs you in the front'. If I were ever to stab you (cyber style) you'd notice right away. Also, that would never happen - at least to you - I can't promise to be good if I ever stumble upon a hacker, .....or if Kenny ever decides he misses us and shows up out of the blue.

I like that quote. I'm glad I'm safe from your cybernetic knife blade. I wonder what ever happened to Kenny. I miss him.
I'll try to come up with a backing track for you that leaves room for a melody.

Boy I wish these tunes were pulled out into members recordings after placed in the collab. Nice job with Carol m's lyric and putting them into song.
Great picking. I like the very folk feeling of the vocals.

well sung and played...........love the guitar tone............wish i had a real acoustic, i love my telecoustic, but it lacks that warm woody tone.
