Bertha was going to be the nickname for "Alberta" - my EC Strat - but my wife chose "Birdie", so Birdie it is!!!

I asked my brother if he had a name for his Seagull. He said he hadn't but it sounded like a good idea so he'd think about it. A couple of weeks later, he came up with Stringy. Hmm.
I have heard the Keith Richard names all his guitars with girl's names, and they must all begin with "M". If I remember rightly, his current (at the time) was Marilyn.
Incidentally, last year I went to a book signing by Terry Pratchett and I asked Him to sign the book for Clare and Jenny (my proper daughters) and also Debbie and Sally. Initially, He called me tight-fisted for not buying a second book, but when I explained who Debbie and Sally were, He asked one of the shop assistants to make sure that I was escorted off the premises.
*Two* insults from PTerry in one conversation must be worth a tee-shirt??!
