I think Hendrix's black strat was named "Black Beauty" - forgot about that one too!

I found out the names of more of SRV's guitars besides Number One and Lennie (and all pre-'63 strats):

Red
Butter Scotch
Charley

His tech said that he named all his guitars that he took on the road with him.

My electric is called *toffee*
and my acustic is called *whisky* (both refering to their colour)

Yup, my 12 string is Angie, after the Stones tune of the same name, (the Angie in that song was apparently David Bowie's wife Angela.)
My wife jokes: "You spend more time with Angie than with me!"

I know how you feel Bob. I named my clapton strat "Alberta" but my wife decided it's name is "Birdy" (after Birdy Rooster)... so what can I do? I call it Birdy and it answers... :unsure: , so I guess that's its name! :D

yep i name my guitars, no highly original names though because theyre named after people who are/were important to me

My Jackson is Ashleigh
SG is Sara
and Ibanez is Emily

Just about everything i own has a name, in one form or another.

My Fender is named Madeline, and the acoustic goes by Audrey.

But alas I call mine 'mongrel dog' because it bites...rrrrggghhhh. The name has stuck LOL.
