[Fretsource]

For anyone interested, I've upgraded the theory quiz in my lessons forum. Now it includes help pages with theory relating to scales, keys, chords and stuff.
It also keeps a current score now so you can see how you're doing as you play, rather than waiting until the end.

Hi Fretsource, neat tool
Is it possible you make it so you can pause on the answer so one can think about it when they get it wrong, also show the question with the answer when it's paused so one can make sure they read it properly?

That's not a bad idea 6string. A simple pause button is all that's needed. I'll try to get around to that quite soon.

Thank Fretsource, that was quite entertaining. However, I think there are two questions there that are far too advanced for the general level of the rest of the quiz. As it happens, these are the two I got wrong.

Thanks for the feedback, Michael. Can you remember what those two questions are about? It was a problem deciding what to include for each level.

Sorry Fretsource that was just a joke. I was cross with myself for getting one of them wrong, a second slower on the mouse and I would have seen my error. The other I didnt have the least idea about so fair enough. The quiz was great, just me that was not so great on the day. Thanks for taking the trouble with it, its fun.

I can get 100% on the easy, but I'm hopeless at the next level, but that is how it should be. The theory is all there in the Help section, and the whole idea is to learn new things, not just get a buzz when you get all the answers correct - although that's good too.

I had no problem with level 1 but level 2 is pretty tough

Meh, never read much music... seemed to me it is the opposite of children, it should be heard and not seen.

Will try level 2 later... excellent lil program, kudos for the creation.

Dewy - Don't forget you can turn off the notation questions - Then you can expect 100%, at least for level 1
