Thanks for the welcome back to your site and as it turns out it has been quite some while ... I've just realised that I purchased Plane Talk probably about twenty years ago, but for one reason or another my guitar career then stalled (don't know what became of the book and slide rule) and I took it up again about four years ago as a post retirement venture ... I've made reasonable progress, chords, scales, tab and so on, always thinking there has to be a "code" to all this that's logical ... and now Plane Talk rediscovered! I'm looking forward to the rediscovered experience.

Could someone give me some advice ... is this method ok for acoustic which I prefer and playing the blues, which is where I would really like to go? Thanks
:helpsmili :guitardude:

Yes it is. If you have already bought the book and kirk has a record of it, you should be eligible for membership in the Plain Talk forum. That will help you get back on your feet faster. PM him and ask.

Hi, newblues. Sure, PlaneTalk applies to any old kind of music and any old guitar in standard tuning ... and it is the logical approach to playing guitar, so dig in. And if you want to join the PlaneTalkers' Forum, just PM me. To do that, just click on my name above and you'll see a link to send me a Private Message.
