im buggin you guys again lol

i have krystal and free amp working but i cant get the sound from guitar on there ive followed the instructions on this site but im to dumb need more help ? if i turn my speackers up really loud i can hear my guitar but fuzzy and quiet?
i have my guitar cable plugged directly into the back of my computer then set that plug to line in but i cant gwet it to come through krystal ??????????

pretty hummy not very loud but im close ive got effects working not sure how to deal with the delay

They talk about using ASIO drivers (i think audacity uses them, i know cubase and audition do), to reduce latency (the delay between when you play something and when it comes out the speakers), but ive never used software effects. I record all my effects live. So i cant offer you much help on that.

Hey Jimmy,

The delay you're getting with the recording and playback is called latency. there is a great bit of free software that will sort this out for you ... download it here.

You will find some installation help in this thread here, along with links to some free amp/effects downloads.

As for your guitar sounding quiet and 'hummy'... try using a distortion/overdrive pedal or effects box in the line, as it sounds like you need to 'preamp' the signal to your line in on the soundcard.

also need to check your microphone levels in the windows mixer. You can pull that up by double-clicking on the little speaker icon at the bottom-right corner of your screen.
