Help with CoolEdit2000: Synch issues!!!
Hey guys, as some of you may know, i just bought an Ibanez JS100 and i am dying to record something on this axe. The problem is this: lately, when i am about to record on the CoolEdite multitrack, my recording seems to be faster than the backing track i use on the track1. Its weird!!! I swear i play on time but when i hear bot tracks(BT and my recording) sounds out of synch!!! This is randomly hapening with some Backing tracks. Anyone know what can i do? Please help me, is urgent and important for me Thanks. GT

Is it anything like audacity where you can set the Hz Frequency, was playing around with that the other day, slowing it down and speeding it up? I may be off though on this one.

Have you done any recording with CEP2000 before? If so, did you have this problem then?
Does your track speed up over time and gradually get more and more out of sync? Or does it stay out of sync by the same amount?
What soundcard are you using and what drivers?

Hey GT, do you have the red JS100? A couple of years back I came close to getting one myself but didn't quite have the funds available.
Interested to know what you think of it!

This link might help with your recording problem... look into the background applications section and try the suggestions there.
Also download and install ASIO4ALL to help out with latency/synch problems - It gives your soundcard ASIO capabilities and should work with Cool Edit ( if you it as your recording device in the audio preferences of Cool Edit).
The combination of those should hopefully sort it for you, let us know how you get on.
