Really Nice $20 Mic

I just heard an mp3 using this mic on one of the recording forums I post at, and it sounds surprisingly good for $20. So I thought I'd pass this on to anyone who's looking for a good but "inexpensive" mic.

He uploaded the mp3 to the forum and you would've had to register there to hear it, so I put it up on my site for easy access. I ran out of room on my site though so the ending got cutoff, but you'll get the idea.

Where will it get it's power from? I didn't see that it has batteries. My take is that it will not plug directly into a PC, even with an adapter/xformer cable.

Yeah, the specs say it requires 18 to 48v phantom power.

Oops,I forgot about that... (I was carried away with enthusiasm, as I'm looking to buy my first recording mic)

I should have said:

'sure you can, through a mixer or preamp with phantom power'

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
