I think Starsailor had a thread called Goode Funky Loops (or similar) about Mixcraft.

Hi Slickcat, Carol's spot on, I use Mixcraft 3, I started off with Mixcraft 1 after I had some poor results with other Programs albeit partly down to my recording set up too, things have improved since using Mixcraft, I personally would recommend it especially to beginners or technophobic guys as it already has lame encoded and all the plugins you need to start off, Mixcraft has been used a lot for podcasting, think that's where it made it's name. Haven't tried Mixcraft 4 yet but it looks good, I like the bank of effects you get with this programme you can make loads of loops and mess around with different types music, I think Damian uses it too, tell us how you get on with Mixcraft 4 as I'm thinking of upgrading soon, I love messing around on version 3 if I could upgrade my equipment a bit I'd be sorted. Have fun Slickcat.

I bought Mixcraft 3 after having it on trial for a while Carol, you can continue to use the Demo but if I remember correctly the MP3 converter gets disabled and I think there's limited access to effects so Reaper has the upper hand on that aspect but it was the ease of use that appealed to me.

Found the Goodefunkyloops thread, I like playing with the loops on Mixcraft and the sound effects, get a bit carried away sometimes, like a kid in a sweetshop Ian Justinthyme did a really cool Santanaesque tune with mixcraft a while back that was very good
