Free software program that can reverb?

I was wondering if there was a free program that allowed me to add some reverb to my vocals.

Thanks in advance,

Definitely.

These are all VST plugins that you use inside of a recording program (such as Kristal Audio).

Glaceverb
Kjaerhus Audio Classic Series
Mangus Ambience

A bunch of free effects plugins are listed HERE, which include all kinds of effects.

weird... it's not working... I put the dll file in there and when I go to open up audacity a window comes up and says another instance of FL studio is running... which is weird because I'm not opening fruity loops I'm opening audacity

I do not want to confuse you any more but in Kristal the reverb is a standard feature and its good quality. I have always had trouble with Audacity, I dont know why everybody else gets on great with it bar me.

Audacity works fine for me but the FX are not very good.

wow... just downloaded kristal... gets two thumbs up except I havent' figured out a way to import mp3 files.... seems to be you have to start a project on there to be able to use it If I'm wrong let me know so I can start editing my songs but I think I might as well rerecord them and try to fix the messups anyways. Thanks wow this is sweet, chorus, reverb, delay, everything haha what a waste of money I spent on my digitech 300... craigslist anyone?

You might want to hang on to it for the occasions when you're playing through an actual amp away from your computer.....Kristal doesn't do you much good then!

I dont think it does mp3's, I always convert to wav using itunes and then import. Its a great piece of software for the money...lol

You also make a good point about getting rid of multi effects units, since I got a decent mixer I have not used any of my amps. Mostly out of lazyness as I can play next to the mixer and make small adjustments instead of getting off my fat bum and walking over to the amp. Add that to the fact I add the effects for a killer sound!

This version of Kristal will not work with mp3 files, only .wav, .aiff, .ogg, and flac.

I use a program called Switch to convert between formats, just make sure you grab the Free download.

I have also been using a editor called Wavosaur for the last few weeks that, for me, is way ahead of Audacity for editing features. It has added an export to mp3 function in the last release, and it works great (so far) with Kristal. It is also a free program.

Good Luck!

You can use the VST plugins in Kristal, which are much better quality than the stock effects in Kristal.

There are also free guitar amp simulator plugins for electric guitar and I demonstrated a few of the plugins on electric guitar HERE.

I've been using plugins exclusively like this for a while now. I can't even remember the last time I used my Digitech RP14 pedal.
