Manufacturer Workmanship
Ref: Martin D16GT Acoustic Guitar
I recently purchased. On the black corner stripping, where it connects with the spruce-top surface, there seem to be small pits or holes that go through the finish. I am not sure if this is some kind of deteriorating effect or was already there when I purchased. The only thing I use on the guitar to clean is the recommended Martin guitar polish and cloth.
In addition, I have noticed on the front surface, there is a dimple in the wood about an inch in diameter. It is barely noticeable and hard to tell if it is a problem with the wood or finish.
Anybody else run into something like this?

I went through reviews and some people are having issues with blems. Seems to be not uncommon with 16s. 3 or 4 out of twenty reviewers were unhappy with blems.

That's almost word for word what one of the reviewers said too.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
